The Pennsylvania Association of Tactical EMS is pleased to sponsor a forty-eight hour Basic Tactical Medical Operator course. This course has been custom designed to meet the specific basic training needs to cover major TEMS operational components. The course targets experienced EMS providers at the EMT-B level or higher entering the field of civilian special operations medicine.

The course is the result of many requests to provide basic level tactical training to orient new team members and also refresh concepts for current TEMS providers. This course has been developed to meet the needs of many smaller teams who are unable to attend other training programs for various reasons.

All primary instructors have significant operational experience and currently work as TEMS providers, tactical law enforcement officers, in emergency medicine, or high-risk government contracting.

Course Prerequisites:
Current certification at the EMT-Basic level or higher. (Military medical training, nursing, or other medical credentials will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us prior to application.)

• A letter of sponsorship signed by the commander of the law enforcement agency
which the student will support.

• Students who are not currently affiliated with a law enforcement agency will be considered
on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us prior to application.
